The Army Training Network provides the Army with the tools and resources to dramatically improve training. ATN gives helpful tips to plan, prepare, execute and assess unit training. ATN will make leaders’ jobs easier, improve soldiers’ training and sharpen leadership skills.
Millions of civilians interact in online gaming and the U.S Army Training and Doctrine Command capability manager provides games for training purposes with their MILgaming online portal. This gaming experience provides realistic training environments for developing soldier skill, building versatile small units and developing small unit leaders. The portal provides users from all services with officially sanctioned military gaming programs, such as virtual battle space and assists in training units for decisive action in many operational environments. These gaming programs provide training scenarios at the “crawl” and “walk” stages to help Soldiers enter live training at a higher level of preparedness.
